Kitchen Update - March 20th

The following is a copy of the Kitchen Update that was sent out to Tasting Room Member's & VIP's inboxes! They were the first to find out about this update and it was sent directly to them by e-mail. If you're interested in getting these kinds of updates too, then become a VIP - It's free!

Hey friend!
ย
It's Tina with a quick Kitchen Report and a new Taste Test just for you! Here's what's in this week's Kitchen Update:
  • Finished Pins! (Photo at end of email!)
  • Not so finished Pins...
  • New Member's Only Customer Service Phone Line
  • This Week's Taste Test
  • Social Media Sucks for artists... Wanna help me out?

๐ŸŒŸSome of the pins have finished cooking!

ย We just got word that the following pins have completed production, listed in order of queue with ๐ŸŒŸ marking new recipies: Based on what needs to be done, I am thrilled to say with certainty thatย these pins will start shipping to members in May's Maki Mailย (Based on our first Friday of the month shipping schedule) - AND- Will be available for Member Pickup atย Furry Weekend Atlanta! This delivery schedule is based on the time needed for international shipping, and I will still need to grade and card everything before they're sent out. Non-Members can preorder these to be first in line to have these pins after the Members get theirs.

ย

ย "But wait, these pins are from Nov/Dec/Jan! What about the..."

ย
If you're feeling confused, it's totally understandable, and here's why: I placed two orders with two different manufacturers, one right after the other. I did it this way to make sure I didn't have -all- the pins in one order because one of the manufacturers is, historically and unfortunately, not a very good communicator.ย  In the past, they've gone radio silent for too long, but then suddenly pins show up at my door one day. It's not the most confidence inspiring experience, but it's what I get for trying to stretch more designs into an order at once. When something isn't a rush, it doesn't bother me so much, but after this side-by-side comparision, I'm definately weighing other options. I wish I had something more clear to offer you for your patience, and it's not for lack of trying on my end. The last update I recieved from them was, literally...

"Hi Tina, When ready will show you."

And then my next 4 e-mails went unanswered. Ugh. So I wait. Here's the items currently hung up in the silent order. They will come, I'm just in a holding pattern on these and I'll let you the moment I get even the slightest whisper on these:

New Customer Service Phone Number (Members Only!)

In other news, Jo and I had the lovely opportunity to speak with a lot of our Tasting Room Members over the last week. We have a new business phone line, and we made a secret achievement that you could only get from completing a short survey, which made it very interesting for us because a few folks thought we were spam and pranked us. It's a Google Voice number, so understandably some providers probably showed us as "Suspected Spam" :( We left messages when we could, giving our new number to the Members when we were able. Someone had a Darkwing Duck voicemail. Most people were happy to talk to us, so it was fun to just chat and get to know some of the members better.

This phone number is a Member's Only number, so I'm not sharing it here (And in order to protect it from robocalls, I ask that all Member's please avoid sharing it to non-members!) but it'll be added to the next Tasting Room Menu Email, and is also currently shared in theย tasting-room channel in our Discord Server.ย If you can find it, add it to your contacts so you have another avenue to reach us!

Weekly Taste Test!

If you haven't seen it yet, we're currently voting on the Fugu Fox in this week's Taste Test! Next week will be an even better one, KogiTsukune - This one is very niche. It'll be a combination of "Tsukune", which is a chicken meatball skewer, and "kogitsune", which is baby fox!

Invitations to the Sushi Bar?

Those of you who spend a lot of time on artist-instagram (or any artist social media in general) are probably aware that many artists are struggling to get the algo to show their work to new people. I myself am no exception, so I'm asking for your help, and there's a few different ways you can help:

1) Share your ideas: I want to rewardย youย for inviting a friend to the Sushi Bar, but I'd love to know your ideas on how! At conventions, I offer an achievement pin in person, but online is much more difficult! I'd love to hear your favorite way that an artist, company or anything rewarded you when you referred a friend!
2) Share my work! Whichever social is your favorite, any share helps! More specifically, if you see any of my artwork or recipies that you think a friend would like in particular.ย  Does your mom have a white dog that looks like a Soymoyed? Does your friend have a chihuahua that looks like it'd fit right in the bowl for my Chihuahua Chirashi? Show them!

Thanks for readin and for all your support, as always just hit reply if you have any questions, thoughts, or if you find a bug for me to squash!
