Numbered Limited Editions Distribution Policy

In an effort to reward our most loyal Tasting Room Members for their continued support, we distribute numbered, limited-edition Member Exclusive pins in priority order based on membership tier and active participation. The following is written assuming that you are asking about Member Exclusive Limited editions, but this process will apply to any numbered edition pins regardless of whether they are Tasting Room pins or public ones. Tasting Room Members will always receive first draw of any numbered editions.

Eligibility for Prioritized Number Assignment To be eligible for the prioritized random draws (and thus a chance at the lowest available numbers), a member must meet both criteria by the end of the month:

  1. Be a Renewing or Prepaid Tasting Room Member with an active membership for the month in good standing.
  2. Have purchased the current Member Exclusive Pin as an add-on, not only as a selection.

Important: Simply selecting the Limited Edition pin via the Tasting Room survey does not qualify you for priority numbering.

Number Assignment Process

  1. We reserve the following numbers for special occasions: #1–#10, #69, and any multiple of #100. These numbers are removed from the general assignable pool.

  2. Pins that do not meet our Grading Criteria are removed from the run and put in Mystery Boxes, though this is extremely rare for Limited Edition pins. We do this only to ensure that Tasting Room Members receive the highest quality pins.

  3. After reserved numbers, eligible members receive numbers in tiered priority blocks. Within each block, numbers are assigned randomly.

    • First draw: Eligible Renewing/Prepaid Omakase Members who purchased the pin as an add-on. Example: If there are 10 eligible Omakase Members, they are randomly assigned numbers #11 through #21.

    • Second draw: Eligible Renewing/Prepaid Kaiseki Members who awho purchased the pin as an add-on, starting immediately after the last Omakase number. Example: Continuing the above, Kaiseki members would be randomly assigned starting at #22 for their count of eligible members.

    • Third draw: Eligible Renewing Otoshi Members (those who purchased the pin), starting immediately after the last Kaiseki number.

    • Fourth draw: Eligible New Members (those who purchased the pin), starting immediately after the last Otoshi number, starting with Omakase Members, then Kaiseki Members, then Otoshi Members.

    • Fifth draw: Omakase Members who selected but did not add on the pin, starting immediately after the last Eligible New Member number.

    • Sixth draw: Kaiseki Members who selected but did not add on the pin, starting immediately after the last Eligible New Member number.
  4. Remaining Pins purchased by future members are distributed in numerical order in order of purchase.

  5. Members who chose the pin as a selection only will then be drawn first by tier, then by the order their selection was recieved, until all pins in the run are distributed.

If all available limited edition pins are added on through priority draws and selections, a new variant will be released in a run of 250 to continue.

Can I make the Limited Edition Pin my Selection without adding on? Yes, but.

In the event that more limited edition pins of a variant are claimed than are available, guests who add on the limited edition will be prioritized to receive it.

For example, if there are 100 limited edition pins, 80 are assignable. If 50 people add it on, and 60 people select it, this means there are 110 requests for only 80 pins. The 50 people who added the pin will be guaranteed to receive them, and 30 of the 60 people who selected but did not add the pin will receive them after add ons have been filled.

The remaining 30 who did not receive this limited edition pin will then receive the alternative limited edition variant instead.
