This is a "Wait Staff" role: You will work independently and manage your own tasks. 🔄 Role Flexibility This role should be a dedicated role so that asset production has a consistent, reliable executor. Others can step in to assist as needed, but this role is priority number one if it is your core assignment. This role can be undertaken by anyone on the team with the required skills, but is best served by someone who can reliably complete a high volume of standardized, deadline-driven tasks each week using established templates and design rules.Current Team Members who step in to assist this role should ensure their regular duties are still being completed and existing deadlines will continue to be met, and are not considered replacements or substitutions without direct written confirmation of a role being reassigned. 📝 Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: This is a self-managing, self-sufficient, procedural task-processing role You will be trained on locating assignments, accessing templates, following design rules / brand guidelines, and using our production workflow — after training, you will gather and manage your tasks independently You will be expected to report on your progress, completed tasks, and any blockers during the Tuesday Weekly Meeting Asset Production & Conversion Primarily converting and adapting existing assets (logos, product photos, provided graphics) into final deliverables using templates and strict design rules Creating website graphics, banners, and UI elements from provided source materials Building product mockups by applying designs to pre-existing mockup templates (e.g., t-shirts, packaging, devices) Producing marketing images, social media posts, ads, and promotional visuals by following established layouts and guidelines Preparing production assets such as diagrams, packaging or tech packs. Important Clarifications on Scope This is NOT a creative illustration or character-design role. You will not be assigned tasks to invent original characters, pins, mascots, or freeform illustrations in this role. You will have the opportunity to design your own characters and pins outside of this role if desired — this specific position is strictly task-based, template-driven, and deadline-heavy. Work follows clear procedures to ensure speed, consistency, and brand compliance — not open-ended creative exploration. Quality Control & Delivery Delivering accurate, on-spec files on or before deadlines Documenting any deviations or issues for review and process improvement 🕰️ Time Commitment Once assigned, the responsibilities are ongoing. Tuesdays: Report progress, completed tasks, average time per task type, discuss any blocks or template issues, and suggest improvements. Most tasks are asynchronous — complete them on your schedule as long as deadlines are met. 👉 Role Requirements This role has performance expectations based on speed, accuracy, and volume: Meet or exceed weekly task quotas and delivery deadlines Maintain high accuracy (minimal revisions required) Deliver clean, print/web-ready files following all specs Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (strongly preferred — work is significantly faster and more accurate with our provided templates) Ability to work efficiently with layers, smart objects, masks, actions, and batch processing This is a Production-Focused Role: Must be detail-oriented and able to follow precise instructions/templates without deviation unless approved Must prioritize speed + accuracy to maximize task-based earnings Time Management & Organization Skills: Manage your own task queue, priorities, and deadlines effectively Self-report completed work and time spent ✔️ Prerequisites The following items are necessary to be able to access the required resources: @Wait Staff Role in the Sushi Bar Discord Server @Production Artist Role in the Sushi Bar Discord Server (or equivalent access) Team Account (if you can read this, you have it) Your own Adobe Photoshop (or compatible software) available immediately — you must provide your own software during the initial period The following knowledge is needed for this role: Must complete Production Artist Expectations Training Demonstrated proficiency in Photoshop for asset adaptation and mockup creation Understanding of file formats, resolution, color modes, and export specs for web/print 🤝 Role Continuation & Inactivity Policy Core duty: Complete and log assigned tasks by their deadlines If there is no activity logged in the Task Log and/or no time entered in the Time Log (or no communication about obstacles) for 14 consecutive calendar days, we will assume the role is no longer being fulfilled by you and will treat it as vacant. General inactivity threshold If there is no meaningful contribution (e.g. completed tasks, logged time, updates in shared docs/tools, or direct communication about status) for 21 consecutive calendar days, the role will be deemed abandoned/vacant. The company will move forward with replacement without further notice. 💰 Compensation Adobe Photoshop Subscription: An Adobe Photoshop subscription can be provided after a 90-day trial/probationary period, and will be maintained as long as production volume, accuracy, and delivery thresholds are consistently met. This is a task-based role — each assigned task (e.g., website graphic, product mockup set, marketing image batch) has a base payout. The faster and more accurately you complete tasks while following all rules/templates, the higher your effective hourly rate becomes. Speed + zero/minimal revisions = higher earnings per hour worked.Performance (volume, accuracy, average time per task) is reviewed quarterly. Strong consistent performers may be considered for adjustments or additional benefits. 🖥️ Assignments and Deadlines Deadlines and assignment worktimes are scheduled using the #🎨art-dept shared Google Calendar.
