The ideal candidate can fill multiple roles to support projects end-to-end. This role can be undertaken by anyone on the team with the required skills and oversight mindset, but is best served by someone who can reliably coordinate, track, and complete projects (especially routine product releases and larger campaigns).Current Team Members should ensure their regular duties (if any) are still being completed and existing deadlines met, either by handling them directly or coordinating assistance. 📝 Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: This is a self-managing, self-sufficient role You will be trained on project workflows, task assignment tools, vendor processes, and update procedures — after training, you will identify, prioritize, and manage projects independently You will be expected to report on project progress, completed milestones, blockers, and next steps during the Tuesday Weekly Meeting Project Coordination & Oversight Bridging departments (Production, Marketing) to push projects forward for tangible products Setting realistic deadlines, assigning tasks to the appropriate roles/individuals, and following up on progress Using artwork assets from Production Artist (or producing them yourself when filling that role) Marketing products through campaigns coordinated with Marketing Coordinator (or handling yourself when filling that role) Placing and managing orders with vendors (e.g., manufacturers, printers, suppliers) Updating "The Kitchen" public update page with updates Updating Product Production blogs with progress, photos, timelines, and announcements Ensuring team members have the resources, files, approvals, and information needed to complete their assignments Product-Focused Execution Primarily responsible for delivering physical/tangible products (e.g., Tasting Room items, convention merch, crowdfunded lines) Overseeing production runs, quality checks, fulfillment prep (especially for larger projects like crowdfunding campaigns in Chicago, IL) Documenting issues, lessons learned, and process improvements for future projects Important Clarifications on Scope This role focuses on execution, coordination, and completion — not high-level strategy or original creative design (though you may fill creative/production roles as needed). Larger projects may include on-site responsibilities (e.g., fulfillment oversight in Chicago) for additional opportunities and compensation. 🕰️ Time Commitment Once assigned, the responsibilities are ongoing. Tuesdays: Report project status, milestones achieved, upcoming deadlines, blockers, and resource needs; discuss adjustments or reassignments. Tasks and project management are mostly asynchronous — handle on your schedule as long as deadlines and vendor timelines are met. We have had many wonderfully creative people in the past offer up amazing ideas, but never execute, so your job is to assist in converting great ideas into great results. General inactivity threshold If there is no meaningful contribution (e.g. project updates, task assignments, logged progress, or direct communication about status) for 21 consecutive calendar days, the role will be deemed abandoned/vacant. The company will move forward with replacement without further notice. 💰 Compensation Compensation varies based on scope and overlap: Base: Paid per task or milestone turned in under your oversight, after full completion and follow-up work (e.g., updates posted, vendor confirmed, product delivered). Routine projects (e.g., Tasting Room products): Paid per project on their recurring schedule. Larger projects (e.g., crowdfunding campaigns with multiple products): Additional bonus compensation possible, plus extra responsibilities (e.g., overseeing fulfillment in Chicago, IL). Overlap bonus: Higher effective pay if you also fill Production Artist and/or Marketing Coordinator roles for the projects you manage. Performance (on-time delivery, successful launches, minimal issues) reviewed quarterly; strong performers eligible for adjustments, bonuses, or growth opportunities (including travel-related comp). 🖥️ Assignments and Deadlines Projects and deadlines are tracked using the shared Google Calendar and internal task tools.
