🟥 Event Lead (Event Setup & Oversee Team) Notice: There is no event without an Event Lead. If you would like to work a specific event not yet on our calendar, you must be willing to fill the Event Lead role and assist in making the event happen. 🟥 Event Lead Time Commitment Pre-event Planning and Documentation (Approximately 3-6 hours Remote Work Leading up to the Event) You must prepare for and host the Tuesday Team call before the con Travel time to and from event (Must arrive early Thursday for setup and stay until completion of teardown) Must be able to work 8 hours each sales day, and may need to be on call depending on team needs 🟥 Event Lead Role Requirements This is a Managerial Role: You will be responsible for helping the team meet their goals and objectives and holding others accountable. Must be able to enforce punctuality and accountability with Crew members Must be able to effectively communicate problems in a professional manner and demonstrate this ability for other Crew members to learn from Must be able to maintain emotional composure in the face of potential stress. This is a Customer Facing Role: Must present well according to dress code Must be prepared to interact with the public with a positive demeanor. This role requires Physical strength and stamina: You must be able to stand for a minimum of 5 hours between breaks You must be able to comfortably lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs a distance of 100 feet. 🟥 Event Lead Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Submits applications, if scheduling an event to lead Acts as the on-site emergency contact for the Event Hosts the onboarding and remote training session to setup Ensures the Team, Display & Stock get to the con Running Sales & Register Responsible for updating Shopify location, ensuring taxes are collected May be responsible for submitting taxes if taxes are paid to event on site (I.e Nevada) Responsible for assisting & overseeing Setup/Teardown Responsible for reporting (sales numbers daily, major events) Responsible for resolving issues on site for Team and Guests Responsible for training others Responsible for preparing the schedule to ensure proper coverage Responsible for overseeing smooth booth operations Responsible for occasional minor remote setup assignments leading up to the event Responsible for ensuring coverage, including stepping in if no one else is available. 🟥 Event Lead Prerequisites Previous experience at Event Sales level at a minimum of 4+ events Hit the Verified New Customer Quota for 80% of the events previously attended @Restaurant Staff Role in Discord Completed Event Lead Training Demonstrated knowledge of our company objectives, culture, sales script, booth protocols and professional requirements 🟥 Event Lead Compensation This role recieves the highest compensation and priority in shift selection, but also requires the most commitment. See the Getting Paid page for full details. 🟧 Event Sales (Work at the booth) 🟧 Event Sales Time Commitment You must attend a Tuesday Team call before the con You must participate in both setup and teardown (Arrive early on Thursday, leave late Sunday) - AND - You must work a minimum of two four hour shifts at the booth on two different days, one opening shift and one closing shift.- AND - You must collect 30 new customer e-mail addresses during your shift using the script provided. (This is basically guaranteed as long as you follow the script) 🟧 Event Sales Role Requirements This is a Customer Facing Role: Must be punctual so that others can trust they can rely on you Must present well according to dress code Must be prepared to interact with the public with a positive demeanor. Must be able to maintain emotional composure in the face of potential stress. See the Getting Paid page for full details. 🟩 Remote Event Support (Assist from home) 🟩 Remote Event Support Time Commitment You are responsible for administrative, planning and marketing assignments due prior to the convention. You must attend a Tuesday Team call before the con You must be available remotely to support as needed while the team is setting up, one hour prior to and during open selling hours, and during teardown. 🟩 Remote Event Support Role Requirements This role is On Call: Must be able to respond to Crew requests with a five minute or less response time Must be able to maintain emotional composure in the face of potential stress. This role requires problem solving skills: You must be able to creatively solve problems from a distance Must be comfortable calling people and businesses on the phone to obtain quick resolutions. Must be able to minimize additional costs for extra services This role requires organizational and communication skills: You must be able organize information according to our standard operating procedures Must be able to keep track of multiple issues at a time You must be able to take at-con customer issues and handle or assign them as needed.
