PREVIOUS TOPIC: DRESS CODE SKIP TO NEXT TOPIC: SALES SCRIPTS Tidiness is important due to the small space we have available. The following guidelines help us to maintain a space that multiple people can work in, and in a way that everyone knows where everything is. Cash & Valuables Never leave devices or cash bags unattended. Leaving these items unattended will lead to corrective action, including up to removal. Always keep money bags attached to your body. The only time they should be unattached is when you are handing them to your Team Lead for them to attach it to their body. Never leave money bags on the table top. Areas of Responsibilty 🟥 Event Lead:Oversee register counting 🟧 Event Sales: If you are handling cash, your register mustbe counted in before you start and counted out before you leave. 🔪 Everyone is responsible for ensuring no valuable or cash are left unattended. If you are leaving the booth, leave your money bag with the event lead. At the end of each day, the Event Lead will help you balance your register, and you will give your device/bag back to them. Trash Trash should not be allowed to accumulate on tabletops or on the floor. Please be active in checking and removing trash as you create it. There should be only ONE trash bag at any given time, and the trash must be placed under the table away from customer view. Do not hang trash bags from the displays. When the trash is taken out, set up a new trash bag in the same place so that everyone knows where it is at all times.🔪 Everyone is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness at the booth. Supply Storage Commonly used office supplies should be placed on a rear pegboard, or hidden behind a solid display. This makes them visible behind to the table & easily accessible to everyone and gives them a dedicated home. Exact setup or placement may vary from event to event based on the preferences of the team. The team on site is free to organize in a way that makes the most sense to everyone. Absolutely no office supplies or materials should be visible from the front of the booth. Return Everything to it's Home after Use The tools provided cannot be used if they cannot be found - When using any tools, equipment, etc, ensure that it is returned to the place you found it. 🔪 Everyone is responsible for returning the tools and equipment they use to their original locations. Personal Belongings Please put all personal belongings into the personal belonging’s tote. This is an empty tote designated specifically for personal items. Personal items must fit inside the closed storage tote when the lid is completely closed. Items larger than the tote cannot be stored at the booth and must be taken back to your car or room. If you have items you need to access regularly, I recommend putting these items into your pockets. Please do not keep personal items on the tabletop area. Please do not bring fursuits, cosplays, cosplay props or costume totes to the booth. Storage space is not available for friends or others not working at the booth. Exceptions are made only for Guests who purchase from us who want their purchases to remain safe. Keep Floor Spaces Clear Everything needs to fit under the table. If there is not enough space to store everything, then that means some stuff needs to be taken back to the hotel room or car. Assess what items will not be accessed during the event, such as empty luggage or boxes, and remove them. Everyone should be aware of tripping hazards and remove them. Absolutely no items should be on the floor outside of under the table as this is a tripping hazard. Example: Poorly Maintained Backstage Area Example: Well Maintained Backstage Area No Sitting To maintain a fullly inviting presence, all Team Members should remain standing, ready to welcome all new visitors to the booth. There is no seating at the table. This means any chairs remaining within the booth space should be used to make stock more accessible or for stacking storage. If you need to sit down, you may take a break away from the booth. Team Members are not permitted to sit while serving guests. Booth Backstage Access Absolutely no “guests” behind the booth Only the team working are allowed behind the booth. If the person's name is not listed as being an approved team member, they are not permitted behind the booth, Impromptu helpers may appear at times, and we appreciate this help, but this does not grant them any access to the booth back area. If you obtain outside help for any reason, such as for mystery box packing, you can do this in the hotel room. Traffic Management If friends appear at the booth, we welcome them with open arms, but please remember that this is still work! Due to the limited space, please keep in mind that the booth is not a meetup area for friends to hang out at. If a friend lingers for more than 15 minutes, but has no intent of purchasing, politely ask them to make room for our customers. You are more than welcome to make plans to meet up with them after your shift is over. Booth “Barnacles” Occasionally, we may get a guest who lingers but has no intent of purchasing. Sometimes these people are just excited to talk to someone, but we may need to take steps to protect our business if they are interfering with other customers by taking up staff time. If you get the feeling that someone isn’t going to make a purchase, politely excuse yourself with a simple “It was so good to talk to you! I need to help out some other customers, but if you see anything you like, please feel free to let me know!” PREVIOUS TOPIC: DRESS CODE NEXT TOPIC: SALES SCRIPTS
