This article will cover multiple types of mockups you may be asked to create. Pin Mockups Open the Artwork File, expand the canvas area slightly. Select the Black Lineart & Create a new Lineart Layer Use the Magic Wand Turn off "Apply to connected pixels only" Set tolerance to 8. Select the black Keep in mind to adjust for any pin with black enamel areas! Create a New Layer and Fill with any color Create a Clipping Mask for the 'Gold' Layer Use the Gradient tool with the 'Gold' Fill, then tap the 'Clipping Mask' icon on the Layers panel. Create the 3D Depth Duplicate the base artwork layer. Select the bottom-most later, and move it down so it peeks out from behind the art. Duplicate the gold clipping mask, and apply it to the bottom most artwork layer. Create the shadow effect by selecting the empty area outside the artwork and using a soft brush along the bottom edge. Apply the clipping mask to the shadow to trim excess. The mockup is done! Rotate or move the gold gradient for the best result. TIPS: Gold areas should be clear and easy to see. Place the gold gradient to avoid any of the colors being washed out. Avoid washing out eyes and faces. Place eyes and faces on an area of the gradient where the features will remain clear and easy to view. There's a hard outline around the gold! Example below: Pin mockups must not have this clear line - To repair this, increase your tolerance and or area scaling settings, or expand the selection by 1 pixel and try again. If I expand the selection, I blur the selection edges by 1 px to soften any harshness.
