APPLICATIONS CLOSED - Events Manager & Coordinator

Location: Sacramento, CA or Remote

We are seeking Event Coordinator to schedule and coordinate exhibition events for our company. 

You will be responsible for managing our event calendar, submitting applications to events, arranging payment to event vendors while staying on budget, handling travel arrangements for team members, working with our marketing team to promote our appearances and to provide and improve remote training support for local hires.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills. 

Someone who has or is willing to personally attend and experience events first hand would be an ideal candidate, but the purpose of this role is to primarily provide administrative level support remotely. Sacramento local is preferred, but not a requirement.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekends to provide support to teams in the field. (Remote)
  • Must be comfortable with event planning and coordination, including managing public and internal calendars and task assignment.
  • Ability to notice and solve problems as they arise 
  • Must be comfortable with making travel arrangements and working on a budget
  • Remote training support, including working with teams at events to provide the support they need during the events
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple events at the same time (We have systems in place for this)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to speak up is highly valued!
  • Available to work weekends to support teams at events
  • Punctuality and good attendance.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Familiarity with the Google Work Suite is highly desirable.
  • Problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt and the ability to fill-in-the-blanks are required, since every event is unique.
  • Must have a Discord account.

Job Duties Include:

  • Supporting our mission to deliver new pins and experiences through your support of the events teams.
  • Keep our public events calendar updated for customer reference
  • Keep our internal events calendar updated for team planning
  • Act as a liason for events to keep in touch with our company
  • Remotely train and assist team members who are working at events
  • Research and secure events for our company to attend
  • Arrange and locate personnel to operate at events
  • Arrange for transport of people and assets to events

Schedule:

  • This is currently considered a part-time role. We expect this role to work one day per week during weeks there are no events, with up to 4 days in a week required during event weekends.
  • There are busy seasons and slow seasons when we may ask for additional work as needed.
  • We are commited to work life balance, and do not ask for additional labor outside of scheduled, agreed work hours.
